It’s getting to be the perfect time of year for outdoor events in Arizona and two of this year’s largest remaining Route 66 events are in Kingman this fall: The Kingman Route 66 Street Drags and the Kingman 66 Fest.

The Street Drags are the world’s largest legal street drags, and they’re held directly on the Mother Road. The Drags, hosted near Kingman Napa Auto Parts, will include burn-outs and 300 racers in eight classes over three days; October 22,23 & 24. Though the Drags are a genuine ‘street race’, it has all the safety equipment you would expect to find at a “purpose built” track, plus a full timing system with reaction times, 60’ times, 330’ times, 1/8-mile times and speed! All 300 slots are already filled, so driver registration closed and it promises to be a jam-packed weekend event!

Tickets range from $15 for general admission to $45 for reserved seating per day. Buy tickets at the gate or in advance at Eventbrite. You can also purchase VIP Hospitality passes for the very best seating in the Hospitality Suite all three days.

The Kingman 66 Fest celebrates 95 years of Route 66, which was originally designated in November 1926. The event is November 5 & 6 in Lewis Kingman Park, a historic park that was one of the few shady US Hwy 66 rest stops. The Fest will bring to Kingman its first zip-line, hosted by Rock It Up, and four escape room experiences by Brakeout Arizona. The event features six live bands over two days, food and craft vendors, a Kids Corner with vintage pedal car races, a motorcycle show, a classic car show, and a trackless train that will take youngins on joy rides around the park.

It's free to take part in Friday’s Mother-Road Motorcycle Show or Saturday’s Classic 66 Car Show, but pre-registration is required. To participate in rides and activities, wristbands will be available for $10 each for general public or $5 for seniors 60 and children under 12. You can purchase Wristbands that are good for both days, with cash at the Festival. You can buy wristbands in advance by cash or card at the Kingman Visitor Center, located at 120 W.
